Exploring Law and Social Equality with Azucena Marquez
Join Miss CEO on Saturday, November 14th at 4PM Pacific for a candid and inspiring conversation with rockstar Azucena Marquez, who is currently a first year JD candidate at Harvard Law School. Skilled in writing and research, Azucena graduated from Stanford University in 2019 with a B.A.H. in History and a minor in International Relations. Through her coursework, campus involvement, and internships, she deepened her interests in law and social equality. Azucena has also worked as an Analyst at Cornerstone Research, where she provided support to expert witnesses in high-profile litigation matters.
Exploring STEM with Dr. Izumi Hinkson
Celebrate National STEM Day with Miss CEO and Dr. Izumi Hinkson on Saturday, November 7th at 4pm Pacific. Dr. Izumi Hinkson is a Scientific Project Manager in the Therapeutics Insights group at Fluidigm where she manages the delivery of single-cell proteomics research projects, and the development and rollout of innovative products for mass cytometry and imaging mass cytometry. Prior to her role at Fluidigm, Izumi was a Scientific Project Manager at Accelerating Therapeutics for Opportunities in Medicine (ATOM), a public-private consortium for AI-based drug discovery. Izumi is an alumna of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science & Technology Policy Fellow Program. As a fellow at the National Cancer Institute Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT), she applied her scientific expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics to co-lead the development of the NCI Proteomic Data Commons, a cloud-based data and analysis tool sharing platform. Her previous areas of study include proteomics research in prostate cancer, proteostasis, aging and age-related diseases, and rejuvenation. Izumi holds a PhD in Chemical and Systems Biology from Stanford University and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis.
